Funerals

Psalm 23

Funerals are typically arranged with the assistance of a funeral home in conjunction with our Director of Music and Liturgy.

Funerals may be celebrated on any day of the week except for Sundays and other special liturgical days in the Church calendar (Holy Days of Obligation) and are normally celebrated at 11:00 AM with an optional hour of visitation (Rosary) in the church before the Mass. Many times, families wish to have a Rosary or Scripture Service led by a deacon at the funeral home the evening before the funeral. We are also happy to host a reception in Jubilee Hall following the service if you wish. Please see the Planning Packet for more details.

A meeting with the Priest and Director of Music and Liturgy should take place several days before the Mass itself.  This meeting will be to go over details of the Mass (music, readings etc.) The family will be able to choose the music and readings.

To begin the process of planning a Funeral Mass, please call our Director of Music and Liturgy.
We have provided our Funeral Planning Packet, as well as a list of scripture readings and prayers to assist in your planning.
