Father Tim blessed the Black Pieta “Mama” Icon this past Sunday
The icon shows a grieving Mary holding the body of her son, Jesus, after the crucifixion. In Matthew 25:40, Jesus answered the question, Lord when did we feed Thee, give Thee drink, clothe Thee, visit Thee when sick or in prison? ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ This icon shows that Jesus is in every one of us. “Whenever I meet someone in need, it is really Jesus in his most distressing disguise.” –Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
