Fr. Tim Clark – Pastor/Priest AdministratorDirectory

Fr. Tim was ordained in 1980 at St. James Cathedral.  He has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature with a minor in Philosophy.  He studied in Rome from 1976-1980 where he earned an STB and beginning STL in Sacramental Theology.  Fr. Tim was born and raised in Portland, OR and moved to the Seattle area in 1969.  He is the oldest of five siblings.  Fr. Tim is an avid cyclist who also loves the sea and loves to read.  Fr. Tim serves as the spiritual leader of this parish/school community.

John Cowan - Pastoral Assistant for Administration

John comes to us after working over 25 years in the environmental science and engineering business.  His work has taken him all over the world where he and his family has been able to live and work with people from many different cultures and religious practices.  John received his BS from the University of Washington and completed further graduate studies in Agricultural Sciencem and Economics at the University of Idaho. John his wife Mary have two children both of whom live in the Seattle area.  After 36 years of marriage John's lost his wife to cancer in late 2015.  After much reflection John decided to shift his career whereupon he began studies at Seattle University's Graduate School of Theology and Ministry in Transformational Leadership.  John has a love of the outdoors and is often found in his garden or hiking around the northwest.  John loves to read and continues a practice in Centering Prayer he started with his wife. John serves as the Administrator of the Parish and the School and works closely with Fr. Tim to ensure that we are meeting the needs of the parish/school community.   

Torrie Smith – Office Manager

Sara Hanson – Pastoral Minister for Music and Liturgy

Sara has a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance with Piano as her secondary instrument.  She worked through college as the accompanist and assistant to the Voice Program at Sacramento City College.  She holds a Master’s of Music in conducting from the UW.  Sara is a Pacific Northwest girl through and through.  She grew up in Portland and has been in the Seattle area for over 15 years.  Sara’s hobbies include cooking, gardening, and running.  She oversees all liturgical activities, plans the music, and directs the choir and Sunday evening ensemble.

Mary Lou ColasurdoPastoral Assistant for Adult Faith Formation

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland the oldest of three children, Mary Lou attended Immaculate Conception grade school. She graduated from Villa Julie College in Stevenson, Maryland with the intention of becoming an accountant, but got side tracked with the idea of flying and therefore became a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines; this brought her to Seattle where she met her husband. She raised 7 children and in 1981 when the last child went to college, Mary Lou was hired by Fr. Marlin Connole at St. Therese Parish in the role of Liturgy and eventually Faith Formation. She remained at St. Therese for 35 years. Her husband passed in 2006 and she now lives in Tacoma. She loks forward to being present in this faith filled community in her new role at Our Lady of the Lake.

Vince McGovern – School Principal

Vince is a graduate of Catholic Education from primary through graduate school. Vince grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from La Salle University with a degree in education and earned his Master's degree at Seattle U.   He is the proud son of Lucy and Owen McGovern and has five siblings.  He and his wife, Jenny, live in Ballard with their daughters, Lucy and Fiona, and their dog, Guinness.  Traveling and spending time with family take up most of Vince’s free time.  Life is best lived for him when he is on the beach.  Vince is responsible for keeping all aspects of the school running smoothly.

Joan Sullivan - Development Director

While she’ll always be an Oregon girl Joan has lived in the Seattle area the last 35 years.  Joan holds a degree in Communication Disorders from Gonzaga University.  She has spent the last 20+ years in the field of Early Childhood Education with a special focus on children with special needs.  She is active at both her parish, Holy Family Kirkland and Holy Names Academy where she is a Trustee.  Time spent at both Holy Family and Holy Names has given her the opportunity to be involved in Annual Giving, Capital Campaigns and Community Outreach.  Joan and her husband John have 5 children.  She enjoys meeting new people and when not at work her favorite time is time spent with her husband and family.
